Tennessee Trucking Association Awards Cumberland Employee, Holly Czuba, Young Professional of the Year Award for 2020
The Tennessee Trucking association awarded Holly Czuba their 2020 Young Professional of the Year Award at their Annual Convention in September.
I am thrilled (and completely humbled). It’s an honor to be recognized by the TTA.
Several years ago, Patrick Mendenhall approached me with an opportunity (and goal) to get younger folks more involved with the TTA and the industry. 12 of us got together and formed the Young Professionals Council. In the last two years we’ve created an annual legacy networking event designed to connect legacy TTA members with younger ones, an annual state-wide Haulin’ for the Holidays event designed to get holiday presents to kids who need them in TN, along with raising several thousand $$$ at a Top Golf fundraising event. We take contingents to the TN Legislature and to Washington DC each year to meet with lawmakers and schedule several Give Back Day’s each year and so much more.
It’s safe to say we’ve had hundreds of engagements with the TTA and within the trucking industry as a whole that wouldn’t have happened without the 12 folks who raised their hands and said, “I’m in! Let’s do it!”. The Tennessee Trucking Association has been entirely supportive, as has Cumberland, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities provided. I’m excited to see what we’ll do in the future!
