Cumberland Awarded a 2022 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association

Sarah Heasley, Corporate Recruiter for Cumberland International Trucks gave her thoughts about Cumberland being recognized. “Who doesn’t want to work for a company that’s going places?!  I’m proud to say Cumberland cares immensely about their people and upholding our core values in everything we do.”

Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association (WIT), highlighted the 2022 Top Companies list in Edition 3, which published this past October. This recognition program was developed in 2018 to support part of WIT’s mission which is to promote the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the transportation industry.

Many women say they want employers with a supportive corporate culture with a focus on diversity, flexible hours, and work requirements to accommodate life balance. Competitive compensation and benefits, training and continued professional development, and career advancement opportunities are also important. The “Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation” award program was started to recognize companies like Cumberland International Trucks that work tirelessly to build a culture that supports all employees and is based on it’s Core Values of Honor, Readiness, Victory and Loyalty.
