The People Behind Cumberland

Next week, October 5–9, we’ll celebrate Employee Appreciation Week with events at all of our branches. It’s an opportunity to recognize the people behind the work Cumberland does every day — especially during a time when the trucking industry continues to be challenging.

Customers are watching costs closely, fleets are holding onto equipment longer, and every department is being asked to do more in an environment that is constantly changing.

That reality makes what our employees accomplish every day even more meaningful.

Our technicians are diagnosing and repairing increasingly complex equipment. Our warehouse teams are keeping parts moving and customers supplied. Our truck and parts sales teams are building relationships, solving problems and finding opportunities in a difficult market. Our Idealease team is helping customers keep their fleets productive and on the road. And across every department, employees are answering phones, communicating with customers, solving unexpected problems and representing Cumberland every day.

We see the results of that work in many places, but some of the best examples come directly from our customers.

When someone leaves a Google review thanking a technician, recognizing someone at the parts counter, praising our service or simply saying that our team went above and beyond, that recognition belongs to the employees who created that experience.

Those reviews do not happen because of a marketing campaign. They happen because someone took the time to help. Someone found the part. Someone fixed the truck. Someone returned the call. Someone kept the customer updated. Someone did the hard work.

That’s what Employee Appreciation Week is really about.

The industry may be demanding, but Cumberland continues moving forward because of the people who show up every day and take care of our customers and one another.

As we celebrate October 5–9, we hope you’ll take a moment to enjoy the events happening at your branch and, more importantly, know how much your work is appreciated.

Thank you for the work you do, the problems you solve and the reputation you help build every day.
