We restructured our wellness program this year, hoping to provide more flexibility for employees to attend “on-site” education sessions and take advantage of our wellness portal.  Here are some of the changes we’ve implemented this year, which are leading to increased participation already!

  • Reorganized Wellness Portal – Made the wellness dashboard easier to understand.
  • More Communication –  Wellness Program details were sent home with full schedules and activities for the year so that folks can plan for attendance.  Each month we’ll be sending out updates and wellness information.
  • On-Site Education Sessions – We’ve planned 3 different education sessions and will do each program at 3 Cumberland locations. We’re doing the education sessions during lunchtime.
  • Healthy Snacks – We’re enticing participants to attend on-site programs with food to inspire healthy eating habits.
  • Activity – The on-site programs will be less focused on sitting through a powerpoint and more focused on active participation.
  • Tools – We’re using technology and devices to make it easy for folks to participate in the wellness program. While we aspire to more than “set-it-and-forget-it”, we realize that something is better than nothing! And when you have the ability to track and measure, you have the ability to set and meet goals.

How can you get involved? Reach out to our marketing director for more details, but there are opportunities to build a wellness plan that is right for your goals. For example, if your primary goal is to sleep better, there are activities in the wellness portal to facilitate that goal.  If your goal is to increase your physical activity, there are challenges you can join and work towards that goal.
