“Broadway Smash” Parties for Games 5 and 6 Will Include Large Screens and Feature Additional Space at Bridgestone Arena for Game 5, Music City Walk of Fame Park for Game 6

The City of Nashville, the Nashville Predators, Country Music Association and Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp are working together to host Broadway Smash parties for Games 5 and 6 of the Predators’ historic run in the Stanley Cup Final, which will take place at the same time as CMA Music Festival, Nashville’s busiest tourism week.

The CMA Music Festival will be in full swing during the downtown viewing parties for Game 5 on Thursday, June 8 and Game 6 on Sunday, June 11. CMA Music Festival runs from Thursday, June 8 to Sunday, June 11 and incorporates many areas of downtown, including Music City Walk of Fame Park, which has hosted several Preds parties.

Game 5, Thursday, June 8 (away game)

With this game in Pittsburgh, the Predators plan to open Bridgestone Arena for fans to view the game. They are making 13,000 general admission tickets available with about 5,000 remaining (as of 2:00 pm June 7). Tickets are $5 for season ticket holders and $15 for non-season ticket holders with proceeds benefiting the Nashville Predators Foundation. Tickets available at ticketmaster.com.

In addition to the indoor viewing party, the city will host an outdoor party on Broadway between Fourth Avenue and Seventh Avenue featuring two giant screens, one at Fourth Avenue and one between Fifth and Sixth Avenue. The site opens at 5 p.m. The event site has been adjusted to accommodate CMA Music Festival attendees and the shuttles that they ride.

NBC will broadcast Game 5 live from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.

Game 6, Sunday, June 11 (home game)

The city will spread the Preds party over three areas downtown: Broadway, Walk of Fame Park and Ascend Amphitheater. Three giant screens will be placed on Broadway, which will be closed from Fourth Avenue to Seventh Avenue. Ascend Amphitheater and Walk of Fame Park will also have large screens. Broadway and Walk of Fame Park sites open at 4 p.m. CMA Music Festival activities will have concluded at Walk of Fame Park, making the venue available for the Preds party.

Game 6 will broadcast live on NBC at 7 p.m.

For both games, the Predators will activate Bridgestone Plaza with 300 wristbands available to fans. Times and locations are subject to change for parties. If a Game 7 is necessary, details will be announced later.

Upwards of 50,000 people have congregated downtown to watch the Predators on large screens during the playoffs to cheer the team on together.

During the parties, Predators mascot GNASH and the Predators Energy Team are scheduled to make appearances. Food trucks will be on site, and sodas and beer will be on sale. Bottled water and hot dogs will be on sale at low family-friendly prices.

Attendees are invited to bring blankets, collapsible chairs and small bags (no bigger than 12”x12”). Coolers, backpacks and large bags will not be permitted. For a complete list of house rules, please go to visitmusiccity.com/NashvillePredators.

The parties are co-hosted by the city of Nashville and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp with the assistance of Moo TV in support of the Nashville Predators and in partnership with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Sports Council. They are produced by the NCVC with special thanks to the Country Music Association for their support and cooperation.
