TCAT Gets Truck Donation from Cumberland International

Feb 26, 2020News, Trucking

On Monday, February 24, 2020, Cumberland International Trucks employees donated a truck to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Nashville.

Cumberland has been working with TCAT-Nashville since the beginning stages of building the Diesel school and planning the program.  Richard Yeager, head instructor for the Diesel program, asked if we could donate an engine, truck, or something for the students to work on and learn the real world application of repairing a diesel truck.

The donated truck does not currently run, so the students will diagnose the issues and repair the truck.  We have a good idea what the truck requires for repaired, and will work with Richard on the diagnostic software and the parts needed for the repair.

The students were excited to have the truck and seemed anxious to start working on an International truck.  They are excited about the opportunity to work on an International truck. Richard and the school are grateful for the truck.
